Consumed Society – Exposing Greed and supporting local economies...

Consumed Society has been created because the founders believe the bureaucratic and corporate world that we have created has started to dehumanise, confuse, consume and exploit society, isolating people and creating social barriers, all in the name of greed and profit. Our disgust of corporate greed has inspired us to start consumed society. Our site is a place where the Consumed Society collective, firstly expose the greed and selfishness of today’s corporations and secondly explore and practice new models of economics.

The Consumed Society website has two parts
1. Online compendium of FREE digital resources useful to all including links, blogs, videos, music, tutorials, software, document templates, service/business directories. We encourage you to add your own content and/or setup your own shop, because Consumed Society is yours as we believe sharing brings wealth, love, happiness and freedom.
2. An online department store selling a wide variety of goods from fashion and books to electronics and services.

Our vision is of a more united society, which we believe can be achieved through uniting consumers and independent sellers in free market economics and the internet.

Consumed Society is an open source movement and we encourage you to get involved in any way you want. There are 100s of ways you can contribute; whether its adding content or a link to our FREE resources, setting up a shop in the online department store or becoming a member of our management team...because Consumed Society is everyone’s! We are currently looking for

• Bloggers/article writers (either start a blog or feature your existing one to the site)
• Entrepreneurs to sell products or services in the market place
• Artists (picture, music, video, poems)
• Administrators to help behind the scenes
